Hertwich Engineering, a company of the SMS group, is active worldwide with design, supply, construction, and commissioning of specialty machinery and equipment for the aluminum industry, in particular for aluminum casthouses. The product range comprises technically advanced machinery and equipment, including: continuous and batch homogenizing plants, sawing plants, horizontal DC casting machines, ultrasonic inspection stations, and melting equipment for aluminum scrap, etc. With continuous homogenizing plants for extrusion billet, Hertwich has maintained a worldwide lead for many years (with a 90% market share). The company supplies complete aluminum casthouses on a turnkey basis. It relies on its own R&D and proprietary know-how.
