Extruded Aluminum Company (EAC), Profile Custom Extrusions, and Metra Canada — three premier U.S. and Canadian aluminum extrusion companies — are combining their businesses to launch Metra North America. United, the company will be able to redefine aluminum extrusion quality, reliability and worth.

Headquartered in Belding, Michigan, Metra North America is a high quality, customer-focused aluminum extrusion company serving the building and industrial markets. From windows, framing and curtain walls engineered to meet close-fitting tolerances, to meticulously fabricated and beautifully finished HVAC, solar, automotive and railway products, Metra North America is redefining aluminum extrusion quality, reliability and worth.
Although a new brand, the three companies comprising Metra North America provide over a century of collective extrusion, fabricating and finishing experience serving customers in multiple building and industrial markets. This combined experience is the results of a series of acquisitions.
Meanwhile KPS Capital Partners acquired the global Metra Group business, including Metra Canada, in May 2021 and then acquired Profile Custom Extrusions shortly thereafter. Profile Custom Extrusions operates a single facility in Rome, GA, where it produces a variety of custom extrusions for diverse markets, including construction, HVAC, transportation, electrical, and marine. The extruder also provides value-added capabilities, such as painting, anodizing, thermal break, and precision cutting.
Metra completed the acquisition of EAC in October 2023. EAC is a leading U.S. manufacturer of custom extruded profiles and related value-added fabrication, assembly, and finishing services across two facilities in Belding and Kentwood, MI. The company serves diverse end-markets including solar, transportation, military, material handling, residential, and commercial construction and marine applications.
Bringing these capabilities together under the single banner of Metra North America enables the new company to provide a level of expertise akin to Metra Italy, a world leader in aluminum extrusion.
