Exlabesa signed an agreement to acquire Flandria Aluminium, a French company specialized in the extrusion, machining, surface treatment, and recycling of aluminum profiles. As part of Exlabesa’s international expansion strategy, this acquisition will strengthen its direct presence in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, allowing the company to offer high-value-added products with the highest level of service in these markets.

Exlabesa is a a multinational aluminum extrusion company that currently operates on three continents through nine production centers strategically located in Spain, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Morocco, the United Kingdom, and the U.S. From these factories, it serves nearly 15,000 customers in 40 countries. The company employs 1,800 people and produces a total of 160,000 tons of extruded profiles annually.
During its history in the industry, Exlabesa has been marked by sustained growth and responsible management. Flandria, based in Warneton, has over 50 years of history and has over 35,000 sq m of facilities, including two presses — an 8 inch and 9 inch, respectively. Additionally, it has an aluminum recycling plant with a melting furnace. The company specializes in the manufacture of aluminum profiles for the construction, industrial and transport segments. It currently employs 170 workers.
Access to Flandria’s recycling operations will allow Exlabesa to increase its low-carbon aluminum production capacity.
The acquisition agreement has passed the legal validation process by the competent authorities and has been approved by the French Competition Commission.
