Shandong Innovation Group is currently upgrading its casthouse operations in order to achieve improved efficiency along with additional benefits. The group placed an order with Gautschi Engineering GmbH for supply of 27 rectangular tilting melting furnaces of 70 tons each at three of its facilities in China, including the engineering of the combustion and control systems.
Founded in 2002, Shandong Innovation Group is located in the National Economic and Technology Development Zone of Zouping, Shandong, China. The group currently consists of facilities located at more than ten industrial parks — making it one of the largest producers of aluminum alloy materials in China. The group mainly engages in the production cast aluminum plate, car wheels, and other products that are widely used in aviation, transportation, industrial products, electronics, construction, and other markets. Its operations have achieved international certifications, such as the ISO 9001:2008 for quality management, ISO/TS 16949:2009 for environmental management, and QC 080000:2012 for hazardous substances process management.
Based in Ranshofen, Austria, Gautschi is a member of the EBNER Group. The company offers proven casthouse products for complete casthouses, including melting and holding furnaces, vertical casting machines, and heat treating furnaces. The company was selected by Shandong Innovation due to its decades of experience and ability to meet the aluminum company’s specifications and requirements. The equipment design, manufacturing, engineering standards, and performance characteristics of the furnaces will be based on Gautschi’s technology, experience, quality standards, and evaluation of processes in melting and holding. The completed furnaces will be optimized for performance, excellent usability, product quality, and reliability.
The furnace project is expected to be completed by the first half of 2024. The agreement between the two companies represents a promising cooperation that has the power to grow a promising business relationship now and into the future.
