RevoCast Aluminum Billets, owned by Vitrum Glass Group, started operation of its new aluminum billet casting facility in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. Originally announced in May 2025, the new facility recycles aluminum scrap into high quality billet for the next generation of manufacturing.

Vitrum Glass Group started up its first glass production facility in Vancouver in 1997 and has since grown into a leading glass fabricator in Western Canada. Recognizing the value of of supplying aluminum extrusions to their existing customer base, Vitrum founded Apex Aluminum Extrusions in 2009. The extrusion plant in Langley, British Columbia, started production in 2011, producing standard and customer shapes, as well as providing fabrication (pour and debridge and thermal strutting) and finishing (anodizing and painting) capabilities.
Thirty years launching its first facility, the company is now marking another major milestone with the addition of billet casting capabilities. RevoCast Aluminum Billets represents decades of vision, commitment, and confidence in the future of Canadian manufacturing.
RevoCast is a state-of-the-art, 120,000-square-foot aluminum remelting facility. The plant is helping reshape Langley’s industrial landscape, and brings advanced aluminum manufacturing capabilities, creating skilled employment opportunities, and strengthening the local economy.
Sustainability and energy efficiency are central to the facility’s design. RevoCast’s furnaces utilize high-efficiency burner systems and electromagnetic stirring to optimize the melting process and reduce energy consumption. Energy is also captured through the drying chambers, further improving overall efficiency. Combined, these technologies enable energy consumption per tonne of metal to be comparable to the lowest levels known for facilities operating a single-chamber melting furnace configuration.
RevoCast is positioned to serve the West Coast and Pacific Northwest aluminum extrusion markets with aluminum billets in the 6xxx alloy series, known for their versatility in extrusion applications. These are available in two diameters: Ø178 mm (7 inches) and Ø203 mm (8 inches), with a maximum sellable length of 7.3 m (288 inches).
