A Sleek Aluminum Bullet is the Motorcycle of Tomorrow

In the realm of custom motorcycles, few names resonate as strongly as Bandit9, a motorcycle manufacturer based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Founded by the visionary artist and designer, Daryl Villanueva, Bandit9 has carved a niche for itself by blending cutting-edge design with unparalleled craftsmanship. Established in 2013, the company is driven by a passion for creating unique, high-performance motorcycles that transcend conventional standards by being works of art in themselves. Some of their automotive art is housed in museums and galleries around the world.

The Eve Odyssey

Villanueva’s fascination with the interplay of form and function led to the birth of the Eve Odyssey in 2013, a motorcycle that showcases both aesthetic beauty and engineering prowess, with aluminum taking center stage.

“I’m the kind of guy that dreams of worlds depicted in science fiction films and comic books,” said Villanueva. “I noticed what was on the street was a far cry from what we are capable of.”

The Eve Odyssey is a striking example of how aluminum can elevate motorcycle design. The eye-catching metal not only enhances the bike’s performance, but also contributes to its sleek silhouette. The body is crafted from space-grade 7075 aluminum, giving it a futuristic appearance while ensuring durability. The use of aluminum allows for both reduced weight and increased agility, making for an exhilarating riding experience. The motorcycle’s streamlined design is not just for show; it minimizes drag and maximizes speed.

The New Eve Odyssey

Starting with the design, the EVE Odyssey maintains its instantly recognizable bullet-shaped silhouette, but has been streamlined even further. In conventional bikes, the tank, seats, and signals are all separate parts mounted on a tubular frame, Villanueva’s original vision for the EVE was to unify these elements into a simple, minimal presentation. The design team took this philosophy to the next level in this new iteration.

The EVE Odyssey’s tank now incorporates all of the front-facing peripherals, resembling more of a sniper’s bullet than a 9 mm projectile. To make things even more challenging, the tank is now fused to Bandit9’s new frame designed, engineered and manufactured from the ground up. With its complex curves and finishes, the EVE Odyssey can only be built by hand, and it takes three months for a craftsman to complete one bike.

“This is the real magic behind the new EVE,” said Villanueva. “By creating our own frame, we were not dependent on anyone’s predetermined structures. This is no modified, customized piece. This is a brand new product entirely.”

With the new frame, Bandit9 was able to conceal the exhaust making it one of the coolest design features of the EVE Odyssey. The single-sided swing-arm seamlessly flows into the frame and is finished with Bandit9’s brushed steel emblem milled from a single billet.

One of the standout features of the Eve Odyssey is its attention to detail. Every component, from the aluminum frame to the intricate bodywork, is meticulously crafted. Bandit9 employs advanced techniques like CNC machining to shape the aluminum, ensuring precision and consistency throughout the creative process.

The EVE Odyssey is now available for order and ships worldwide. First orders have already been delivered. For further information, email contact@bandit9motors.com.
