The Bright World of Metals – METEC 2015

METEC 2015 logoThe best metallurgy experts in the world will meet to exchange ideas and experience at METEC 2015, the 9th International Metallurgical Trade Fair, on June 16-20 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The international exhibition focuses consistently upon reflecting on challenges in order to recognize the requirements and technologies for a future that is efficient and environmentally sound.

Main product groups at METEC will be plants and equipment for aluminum and non-ferrous metal production (as well as iron and steel), equipment for casting and pouring of molten metal, environmental protection (including disposal and gas purification), electrical engineering and process control technology, measurement and testing technology, equipment and components for rolling mills, and much more.

In 2011, METEC reported another increase in exhibitors, when a total of 486 companies from 33 countries presented their know-how about the growing metallurgical sector and demonstrated that they are actively involved in ensuring a strong future for metallurgy. More than 19,000 trade visitors came to METEC in 2011 for networking and to obtain valuable information on new technologies and equipment efficiency, with half of them traveling from European countries outside Germany or from overseas. Photo galleries and video reports from the event can be found online.

METEC 2015 will be held concurrently with three successful trade fairs — GIFA (13th International Foundry Trade Fair), THERMPROCESS (for innovative thermo processing technology), and NEWCAST (focused on precision castings) — together representing “The Bright World of Metals.”
