The 15th International Aluminium Conference (INALCO) will be held in Québec City, Canada, on October 11-13, 2023. The event’s organizing committee has extended the deadline for submission of abstracts for proposed papers and presentations to March 20, 2023.
The INALCO series aims at presenting relevant topics for various applications in ground transportation, civil structures for transportation, air transportation and maritime transportation, with an emphasis on green aluminum, including alloys, welding and joining, surface treatment and corrosion, environmental impact and life cycle analysis, etc.
Researchers, professors, professionals, and companies of the aluminum sector are invited to submit conference abstracts relating to practical and innovating applications of aluminum around the following topics :
- Design and Metal Forming: design of components or structures, extrusion, rolling, hydroforming, practical applications, etc.
- Alloys: alloy development, microstructural characterization, heat treatment, phase transformation, etc.
- Surface Treatment and Corrosion: corrosion treatment, anodizing, antimicrobial surfaces, industrial examples of surface treatment, etc.
- Welding and Joining: fatigue, FSW, laser welding, MIG, additive manufacturing, practical and industrial applications, etc.
- Environmental Impact: life cycle analysis, total cost of ownership, recycling, industrial applications, etc.
Abstract Submission Instructions
Those interested in submitting papers should include the authors and affiliation and an abstract summarizing the main points of the paper. The abstract should consist of a single paragraph of a minimum of 150 words and a maximum of 250 words (entered directly into the submission form in the abstract section).
All papers will be made public and will be published online in the INALCO 2023 conference proceedings, available via the conference website and searchable through major search engines, i.e. Google Scholar.
Paper selections and reviews will be made by the INALCO International Scientific Committee, which is composed of highly qualified scientists and engineers around the globe.
High-quality papers will be published in the open-access Engineering Proceedings, with each paper having a DOI number for referencing.
Authors will be informed by April 3, 2023, if their abstract has been selected. All authors of accepted abstracts are required to submit full paper and register online with the registration payment on June 3, 2023. Abstracts with an unpaid registration fee by this due date will be deleted from the program.
Abstracts can be submitted via the INALCO Abstract and Paper Submission page.
About INALCO 2023
This conference provides a unique opportunity to bring together academics, research and development professionals, sales and marketing executives, plant and industrial engineers, quality-control managers, and other prominent aluminum industry leaders. This three-day conference proposes various sessions where the results of recent research activities from all over the world in the field of aluminum constructions are presented.
Approximately 90 papers and expert presentations from many countries are expected (from Algeria, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Korea, Montenegro, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States, etc.). The conference program will consist of keynote lectures by invited speakers as well as of oral and poster presentations of papers submitted by attendees.
The 15th International Aluminium Conference is organized by the Aluminium Cluster AluQuébec and the Aluminium Research Centre REGAL. REGAL is a Research Centre in Québec that gathers experts from seven universities and one college (Université Laval, Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, École de Technologie Supérieure, McGill University, Polytechnique Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke, Concordia University and Cégep de Trois-Rivières).
