Butech Bliss and Fagor Arrasate formed a strategic partnership designed to strengthen the delivery of coil processing solutions globally. The partnership combines Fagor Arrasate’s global engineering and automation capabilities with Butech Bliss’s localized execution, service, and lifecycle support in North America.

“Butech Bliss has a long history of designing, building, and supporting coil processing systems for demanding applications,” said Jock Buta, CEO of Butech Bliss. “This partnership allows us to complement our existing coil processing solutions with Fagor Arrasate’s technologies, giving customers broader options to improve performance while leveraging the engineering and service support they already trust.”

Butech Bliss is a leading supplier of advanced coil processing equipment for metals producers and processors worldwide. Its portfolio includes cut-to-length lines, leveling and stretch leveling systems, slitting lines, automation, and material handling solutions.

Fagor Arrasate is a global supplier of metal forming and processing equipment, offering slitting lines, press systems, automation, and integrated production technologies across automotive, appliance, metals processing, and industrial markets.

Through this partnership, the companies will combine Butech Bliss’s strong U.S. market presence, engineering, and service capabilities with Fagor Arrasate’s advanced coil processing technology — jointly expanding market reach and delivering more complete solutions to customers across the U.S. However, customers worldwide will benefit from the strongest technologies of both companies, as the partnership enables them to deliver fully integrated solutions.

“Butech Bliss brings a strong combination of unique slitting and coil processing technologies, deep application expertise, and a well-established service organization in North America,” said Mikel López, managing director, Metal Division at Fagor Arrasate. “This partnership allows us to pair Fagor Arrasate’s global engineering and automation capabilities with local execution and support, helping customers implement advanced slitting solutions with confidence.”

A central element of the collaboration is Fagor Arrasate’s FASTR slitter tooling robot, an advanced automation system designed to improve safety, consistency, and changeover efficiency. FASTR will be offered as part of a broader slitting solution set and can be applied to both new slitting lines and existing installations, regardless of original equipment manufacturer.

As part of the partnership, Fagor Arrasate will gain access to Butech Bliss scrap choppers and stretch levelers, integrating these proven technologies into its global product offering. The collaboration extends beyond new equipment sales to include service, aftermarket and rebuild support.

The companies are also evaluating opportunities to localize manufacturing and service support for select Fagor Arrasate spare parts in the U.S. These efforts would complement Fagor Arrasate’s existing service infrastructure with Butech Bliss’s field service organization, providing customers with enhanced lifecycle support and fast response times.
