Bonnell Aluminum, a subsidiary of Tredegar Corporation, is expanding the operations of its TSLOTS line of aluminum structural framing systems into the Midwest region of the U.S. — with a new location and increased storage capacity.
“Over the years as TSLOTS has grown, our customers in the Midwest and East have been asking for a location closer to theirs,” said Steve Silvester, sales manager, TSLOTS. “By providing materials that ship from the Midwest, our customers will gain the benefits of being competitive in terms of costs and lead-time.”
TSLOTS is a full-service operation providing project design assistance, fabrication, custom packaging, and full assembly of aluminum framing systems. The operation designs these systems to create light, durable, attractive, strong, versatile, and functional structures using custom T-slotted aluminum extrusions and connecting hardware.
The TSLOTS operation currently has manufacturing and distribution from its site in Clearfield, Utah. Bonnell Aluminum has now leased a new facility that will be operated in conjunction with its existing Niles, Michigan, aluminum extrusion manufacturing location. The new facility will provide 12,550 sq ft of warehouse space for TSLOTS inventory. This additional storage capacity will improve customer service levels for the Eastern and Midwestern United States, including reduced shipping costs and shorter lead-times.
As a supplier of structural profiles, TSLOTS is unique in that it is owned and operated by leading aluminum extruder, Bonnell Aluminum, which is known for supplying finished aluminum extrusions to the building and construction, automotive and transportation, consumer durables, machinery and equipment, electrical and distribution markets. In addition to their location in Niles, the extruder has manufacturing facilities located in Newnan, Georgia; Carthage, Tennessee; Elkhart, Indiana; and Clearfield, Utah.
“We are proud of our growth over the past two decades, and with Bonnell Aluminum having locations across the country, TSLOTS can service our customers in the best possible way,” added Silvester.
