Sapa is making the Design Manual available as a downloadable app for iPhone and iPad users, available in the Apple Store (an android version is forthcoming). The app offers a new channel to reach architects, designers, engineers, and students, who are eager to learn more about aluminum and aluminum profiles.The Design Manual is a strong tool that communicates the possibilities using aluminum profiles. Initially published in 1980 and updated regularly, the manual also underlines Sapa’s commitment to supplying extruded aluminum solutions, as well as raising the knowledge level about aluminum profiles within the industry.
A light version of the publication already is available to visitors on Sapa’s extrusion-specific web sites. The web version has proven to be quite popular, with more than 4,500 registered users, and with the availability of the app version, Sapa has made its Design Manual even more accessible.
The app is accessible in nine languages: English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Polish, Swedish and Spanish.
