Innoval Technology is offering a series of free entry-level webinars designed to provide an overview of aluminum, how it’s used, and how it’s processed. These live informational sessions will appeal to anyone who is new to aluminum or anyone already working with aluminum who wants to find out more or explore other ways of using it.
The “Aluminium in Focus” series introduces some of the fundamental concepts in aluminum alloy metallurgy and explores the main industrial applications of this wonderful material.
The first webinar, “Aluminium in Focus: Metallurgy Basics,” will be held on May 13 at 10 am (GMT) and May 14 at 3 pm (GMT). The webinar will provide a brief introduction to aluminum metallurgy for non-metallurgists. It will be suitable for engineers, process operators, managers, quality, and sales personnel. Each session will include a 45 minute presentation followed by a Q&A session.
“Aluminium in Focus: Metallurgy Basics” will be taught by Dr Mike Clinch, a senior consultant at Innoval and the Materials Development Group leader. He has over 25 years of experience in industrial R&D, aluminum alloy product development, and process optimization. Clinch holds advisory board positions at universities in the U.K. and U.S. and is a fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), where he is chair of their Light Metals Division.
