CIAC – A Conference on Aluminum Innovation

Aluminum: The Game Changer!

The Aluminium Association of Canada (AAC) and its members — Alcoa, Aluminerie Alouette, and Rio Tinto Alcan — are proud to invite delegates to attend the second part of the Canadian International Aluminium Conference (CIAC), to be held in Montreal, Canada, at the Centre Mont-Royal on June 2-4, 2014.

CIAC 2014 will gather 200 international experts and world-class speakers to debate new perspectives on aluminum, as well as its future. At a time when our industry is experiencing challenges and transformation, the conference will look at the importance of aluminum’s lifecycle and will cover topics such as innovation and best practices, sustainable cities and building design, ground transportation, public transportation, aerospace, market dynamics, recycling, additive manufacturing, as well as aluminum’s potential applications, from the present to 2020. The CIAC will also look at the Canada-Europe free-trade agreement and how it will affect the aluminum industry.

In addition to conferences, workshops, and enlightening debates, attendees will benefit from international networking and business development opportunities as well as training and educational sessions. The 2014 CIAC is supported by over 20 international partners, 30 Canadian partners that include the provincial and federal governments and, over 50 sponsors.

The CIAC 2014 takes place in June in the days leading up to the Montreal F1 Grand Prix. The organizing committee has put together different group rates, as well as special packages for those who wish to extend their stay and attend the Grand Prix.
