The 80th Annual World Magnesium Conference, hosted by the International Magnesium Association (IMA), will be held next week May 14-16, 2023 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at the Hyatt Regency. This event is known as the premier conference for magnesium industry leaders, with unparalleled opportunities to expand and strengthen skill sets via technical sessions, and learn from the best of the best in the industry. Attendees will gain valuable insights into magnesium industry trends and new developments helping them to reinvigorate their businesses with new methodologies, tools, and partners.
The conference program will feature presentations on new and emerging technologies, primary production trends and market conditions, innovative applications for lightweight tools, transportation, and cast and wrought products. Further, the IMA’s Awards of Excellence winners will be announced. These awards recognize Future Technologies for Magnesium and Health and Safety initiatives.
Additionally, this year’s in-person event will provide networking opportunities to engage with industry thought leaders and build relationships with IMA members from across the globe. Moreover, attendees will have the chance to enjoy Calgary, a unique and sophisticated city that grew out of the Canadian West.
