Global Continuous Casting Forum – Call for Papers

Global Continuous Casting ForumThe Global Continuous Casting Forum will be held May 13-16, 2019 in Atlanta, GA, providing a venue for academics, researchers, metallurgists, and professionals in the continuous casting arena to meet and exchange innovative ideas and information on all aspects of continuous casting.

The forum will be held in conjunction with Interwire 2019, the largest and longest-running wire and cable convention in the Americas. The event attracts visitors from the ferrous, nonferrous, and electrical segments around the world. Attendees come from numerous fields and industries allied to wire and cable, including: automotive, manufacturing, environmental and reclamation, appliance, building, furnishings, housewares, communications, medical instrumentation, fasteners, electronics, and energy.

Call for Papers

The Wire Association International (WAI) invites abstract and paper submissions for presentation at the Global Continuous Casting Forum. Paper submissions can include the following or related aluminum/copper continuous casting topics:

  • Casting Technologies
  • Electrical Energy
  • Global Aluminum & Copper Markets
  • Cost-Saving Opportunities
  • Filtration Concepts
  • Molten Metal
  • Combustion Systems
  • Furnaces
  • Degassing
  • Metal Flow
  • Refractories
  • Aluminum & Copper Alloys

In order for the WAI’s Conference Programming Committee to properly assess the scope and content of your proposed technical article, please submit a 75 word abstract.

Accepted speakers will receive an Author’s Guide with details about manuscript and presentation preparation via e-mail. Only original papers not previously published will be accepted for Wire Association International paper awards and possible publication in Wire Journal International.

Abstract Deadline: November 5, 2018

Acceptance Notification: December 3, 2018

Manuscripts Due: February 4, 2019
