The global aluminum industry will converge once again at ALUMINIUM 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for the sector, taking place October 6–8, 2026, in Düsseldorf, Germany. Organized by RX Global, the event will focus on sustainability, innovation, and collaboration, bringing fresh momentum to the industry.

Supported by the associations Aluminium Deutschland and European Aluminium, ALUMINIUM 2026 will highlight the vital role of secondary aluminum in decarbonization efforts, along with advancements in key areas, such as metal processing, recycling, casting, automation, and surface finishing. With cross-industry applications in mobility, construction, and manufacturing, the event promises to showcase aluminum’s versatility and its potential to drive sustainability across sectors.

New Insights

Patrick Herman, who stepped into the role of event director earlier this year, is spearheading efforts to elevate ALUMINIUM’s role as a hub for innovation and progress. “ALUMINIUM is much more than a trade fair—it’s a platform for collaboration and a driver of societal and industrial transformation,” Herman emphasized. “Sustainability will remain central as we showcase the future potential of this industry.”

The 2026 edition will introduce several new elements, including Hall 7A, which will spotlight semi-finished products and host the expanded ALUMINIUM Conference in collaboration with Aluminium Deutschland. In addition, the “Sustainability & Recycling Conference,” developed with CRU, will provide a dedicated platform for sharing best practices and strategic insights.

Strong Momentum

ALUMINIUM 2024 is already fueling excitement, with 89% of available space for 2026 booked. The previous event attracted over 20,900 visitors from 99 countries and featured 819 exhibitors from 50 nations, highlighting the fair’s importance in addressing both technical advancements and pressing societal challenges, such as workforce development and diversity.

ALUMINIUM 2026 will continue successful initiatives, like themed pavilions and the “Women with Metal Awards,” promoting inclusivity and innovation within the sector.

As aluminum’s exceptional recyclability positions it as a key material for sustainable industries, ALUMINIUM 2026 aims to spark collaboration, showcase cutting-edge technologies, and inspire the global aluminum community to shape a greener future.
