The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) is requesting written comment on a questionnaire that will be used in its investigation of competitive conditions affecting the U.S. aluminum industry. This survey will help the commission develop detailed information on the domestic aluminum market and industry.
The questionnaire will be delivered to U.S. producers of unwrought and wrought aluminum. To be considered, written comments must be submitted on or before August 24, 2016.
The ITC announced it would begin an investigation into the global aluminum industry and the competitiveness of U.S. producers in April, with a public hearing set to be held on September 29, 2016. The investigation will report on factors of competition in major unwrought and wrought (semi-fabricated) aluminum producing and exporting countries, including the U.S.
